This month, I was honored to be featured in CargoForwarder Global’s Spotlight On… — a respected publication dedicated to the movers, leaders, and disruptors in the air cargo and freight forwarding world. In the full interview, I shared how I scaled a medical import-export company during the pandemic and eventually launched Goods2Load — a digital platform that makes small and medium-sized freight forwarders globally visible.

But this article isn’t about me.

The global supply chain is going digital, but not for everyone. According to McKinsey, 80% of logistics tech adoption benefits large companies, while smaller players are left behind.

These overlooked companies — often in emerging freight markets across Africa, South Asia, and Latin America — still rely on Excel, WhatsApp, and legacy networks. They don’t have websites, SEO, or global reach. Their clients come through word-of-mouth or brokers. And yet, they handle an estimated 40% of global cross-border B2B logistics.

This creates a serious visibility gap — and an opportunity.

Even with the rise of digital freight marketplaces and AI in logistics, the SMB segment remains critically underserved.

That’s what we’re fixing.

From Pandemic Logistics to FreightTech Innovation

In 2020, I founded a medical import-export business to meet urgent PPE demands across Europe. We scaled from €600K to nearly €8M in under three years — with no investors, no paid ads, and no software.

What we did have were exceptional freight forwarders.

But I quickly noticed they were working in the shadows. No digital brand, no CRM, no tracking. Just relationships and speed.

That’s when the idea behind Goods2Load took shape. We needed a tool that let small freight forwarders scale without becoming tech experts or losing their authenticity.
