How do I calculate CBM?
Multiply length × width × height in metres for one item, then multiply by the quantity. For centimetres, divide the result by 1,000,000 to get cubic metres.
What is volumetric weight?
A weight derived from volume so carriers can price bulky-but-light cargo. Air uses volume in cm³ ÷ 6000; road often ÷ 3000. You’re billed on the greater of actual and volumetric weight.
When is LCL cheaper than a full container?
Roughly below 15 CBM, sharing a container (LCL) usually beats paying for a half-empty full container (FCL) — though FCL is faster and lower-risk near that threshold.
